Anti-Parasite Med for pH 7.8?

My 4" modesta never ate well from day 1, disappeared for a month, and has now re-appeared, skinny and wasted. The parasite treatment discussed on this forum recently apparently won't work at pH greater than 7, and mine is 7.8 17 other loaches in the same tank, including modestas, are happy and healthy.

Q: First, could my modesta have parasites? If so, is there a med that will work in my high pH water? It would be cheaper to just replace him, but who knows if this problem is waiting to victimize other fish in the tank?

The tank is currently under salt/temp/Quik-Cure treatment for ich (cure working great).

Ammonia zero, NitrAte 5PPM, pH 7.8, 86F.

I'd appreciate any advice!
