Weather Loaches keep dying

HELP !! I had a weather loach which I kept for just over a year with no problems, unfortunately I went and did a stupid thing of cleaning my tank out completely and consequently lost all of the fish in the tank. Having learnt that lesson, I have again set up the tank, had the water tested and have slowly bought new fish who are all doing fine. Problem is the loaches aren't. We have a tank that is big enough to take two loaches, but so far every single one has died. The two that are presently in the tank are not doing great. One is lying on its back, still alive at the moment, but not eating. The other one looks OK, but again is not eating.

Any ideas !! Like I said
