Does tank space affect eating habits ?

Recently, my 2 big clowns 7 inches and 8 inches have becomed braver and begin eating bloodworms and algae wafers but they tend to eat only a small bit and I do no see a bulge in their bellys. As my present tank they are in is only 36 by 16 by 16 inches, does it affect their mood and their eating habits ?

As I only have space for either a 3 ft or 4 ft tank with width of 2 ft, height 2 ft, the 3ft tank would be 85 gallons while a 4 ft one would be 115 gallons. Should I move to a larger tank will they eat more ? grow faster ? would a tank with same length but different volume affect their development ? They also have eaten several
