levasole vs. levamisole + pH

It appears on recent posts that two anti-parasite meds, levamisole and levasole have been described interchangeably. Are they really the same thing?

Also, what is the original source that says levamisole won't work at pH greater than 7? Is that published, from trial and error, or urban legend? Thanks!
