Levamisole, MelaFix and Total Confusion

I went back to re-read the Levamisol treatment protocol and realized there is conflicting information regarding pH.

There's a post my Momfish saying that Levamisole, "is only active at a pH lower than 7." Immediately following that is a post by Wintek stating that, "The drug is not effective at a pH of below 7."

So, which is the correct information?

Also, has anyone here used Levamisole in conjunction with MelaFix? One of my Adolfos Cories has an injury to her tail that's begun to fungus and I'l like to treat her with MelaFix. I'd put her in the Q-Tank, but right now it's home to a sick Kerri Tetra.
