Uh oh, possible change in 'cute little' fish tank

I had decided not to add the B. histrionicas (Golden Zebra Loaches) to my teeny, peaceful fish tank, but am now starting to see snails! (Of course, none showed up in the tanks *with* botias). I had gotten a bunch of plants from an auction and LFS and must have introduced them. *sigh*
I've only seen like 3 so far & they were so small I'm not even sure what kind they are (not the Malaysian Trumpeter tho).
Is there something small and peaceful that will eat these snails? Some gobie perhaps that otherwise eats regular foods? I've thought about adding a pair of Peacock gobies/gudgeons to the tank, but wasnt sure how peaceful they were or if they'd bug my checkerboard cichlids. Do they eat snails?
BTW, so far, all my teeny fish are quite bold and all come to the front of the tank to be fed (ahh, it's great to be loved!). Even the Loreto tetras, which were very skinny when I got them, have really plumped up and come running. I actually saw 2 of them courting this am.
