No pecking behaviour since I bought them

I do not know why but I have no pecking behaviour between my clowns... strange ? I have 2 big ( 1 male 1 female) they do not fight but like to stay with each other...the other 11 clowns just school together and the big clowns just watch closely behind in their cave just in case something happens, then they will attack the baddy....usually the tiger barb that tries to taste their fins...(gonna remove the tiger barb or give him away...)

Would they have an unstable school if they have no big boss bossing them around ? Up till now it is okay...no fights no nothing... maybe I will post the pictures of all of them when i borrow my dad's digital cam. Would any future problems arise ? Is pecking behaviour compulsory or they will die or something ?
