Injured Dojo Loach

My dojo loach decided to get curious one night and leave his tank (must have been through the small opening of the filter outflow) when i found him the next morning he was being batted around by the cats. I returned him back to the tank and after he shed a great deal of skin for a couple of days now I've noticed a bad scrape on his back. Should he be treated in any way for this injury or should i take the wait and see approach? Would Melafix help? Increasing the temp? Meds?

Water quality is excellent and i'm doing small daily partials. Temperature kept constant at 71 degrees and after 3 days he is eating again. I am keeping the light off to reduce stress.
