just want to thank you again. As soon as i started treatment with melafix DJ stopped shedding the slime/white skin and i was able to see the true extent of his injuries. It was quite horrifying to see a chunk missing from his back and i believe his spine or vertebrate (?) was exposed. There were also deep punctures from the cat's claws/teeth and DJ looked quite swollen.

I continued with the partial daily water changes, melafix and tempting him with his favorite hakari bloodworms.

As i type this i can see he is back to his old self swimming around and very active. The injuries are healing incredibly well. It was not something i expected and it seems a bit of a miracle!

The tank is now VERY well sealed
