mouth disease?

Hi everyone:

It's been awhile since I last visited this site. I have 3 clown loaches in a 35 gallon tank. They are terrific and have grown rather large (@ 5"). One of the loaches appears to be sick. I don't know quite how to describe his condition except to say that his mouth appears to have sprouted a lower lip. Also his gills pulse at a much higher rate than his buddies. He still seems relatively healthy, but he does not eat as much (or anything) and he hides much more. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Do you think he'll get better? I'm not sure if this is an injury or a disease. Any insight is appreciated.
