In the clear yet?

I've owned several types of botias, but never clowns because I didnt think that I had a large enough tank. Well, this past winter I started a 55 gal planted tank.

After all I have read on this tank re: new clowns being so susceptible to ick, I was a little nervous about purchasing/adding them.

Well, two weeks ago I added 3 1.5 inch clowns (finally!!!). I would have liked more, but it is only a 55 gal and there are already 4 B. striatas in there.

So, when do you think I am past the danger point? There have been no signs of spots, they are happy and relaxed and forage in all levels of the tank. They dont seem to feel the need to hide, nor do the striatas.

About how soon after you bring them home do you usually start seeing spots?
