I bought a clown loach that was alone in a tank in an lfs...not my favorite lfs, but anyway....he looked awful and obviously wasn't getting any treatment...so anyway, here he is in a qtank, only 5 gallons, but I thought that anything is better than where he was. I got him for 3 bucks so it won't break the bank to try and save his life.
Here are his symptoms and if I can't save him, well atleast I tried.
He flashes constantly on everything, only he has no visible ich spots. His gills are reddened. He is skinny, shaped much like a tipped over C. I have seen him eat a little cucumber but other than that he eats almost nothing. And to top it off, the top of his nose is all red and sore looking.
I know everyone is thinking, ok, this guy is about to die. But if you were to treat him, where would you start??
So far I have added melafix for the sore nose, and started ich treatment, dunno tho if thats what he has as he has no ich spots, but with the flashing I thought maybe it was in the gills.
Any suggestions would be great.
I'll just cross my fingers and pray!
