Plants, Lighting, and Clown loach comfort

Well I seem to be running into the same thing that many others have before.

I replaced one of my el-cheapo full spectrum Flourescent bulbs this weekend with a Hagen PowerGLO bulb. This sucker is BRIGHT! When I say bright I mean "open the heat shield and stare into the nuclear reactor bright".

The plants are loving it and have all visibly grown (one watersprite plant grew a full inch since Saturday) but the clowns have obviously taken refuge in the darkest area's of the tank.

I will not be getting rid of this bulb because it really has improved the appearance of all the fish and the plants but I was wondering if there is
