Another situation has arisen that emphasises the need for quarentine tanks. As I posted before on LOL, last week I found two cool homalopteras in a shipment of H. smithi. I took the little cuties home and put them in the 10 gal Qtank I have that has a few albino cherry barbs, some schisturas, and several shrimp.I have gotten the two to eat and have been happy with the fact that they have tanken well to bloodworms. Today, I noticed ich spots on one of the fish.I was surprised since I had looked them over good before I bought them and saw no spots. Thankfully, I had them in the Qtank instead of the new river tank. I have started medicating with a half dosage of
