Loach on the way out

Hi All,
One of my clown loaches looks as though he's on the way out. He is currently:
- not eating
- floating upside down in the tank
- not moving when touched
His gills are still moving & ocassionaly he tries to get himself upright but then gives up & gradually floats to where the water filter pulls in the water. I can't see anything specific on his body although he is starting to look pale and white. This has been going on for two days now.

Any ideas what the problem is? A solution would be great also!

Thanks,
M.

p.s. I have another eight loaches in the tank which seem fine.
