Slate for loaches.... How did you do it Bob?

I purchased 150lbs of slate today for the purpose of sculpting a slate cave/backround structure for the new 135 gallon tank.

As I was lifting the stuff into the car I suddenly realized the sheer weight of the stuff... How should I protect the bottom of the tank from presure points? The last thing I need is a massive crack to form because 150+ pounds of slate is grinding on it.

One of the LFS's recomended using UGF plates to distribute the weight, another suggested egg crate under the gravel.... I just don't know.

BTW, I plan on using aquarium safe silicone to cement the pieces together to form 3 seperate struc
