I dont know that she's a she :) I just tend to call a fish of unknown (to me) gender a "she". On the feeding, I'm certainly no eel expert and hate to pass on second-hand info, and my son has only had his for a few months, but the "eel man" that I mentioned said that he didn't feed his every day and my son's eel would sometimes refuse food when offered it two days in a row.

Did I make enough disclaimers yet?:) This is PURELY my opinion: For maximum growth on a young, quickly growing fish, if it will eat every day I myself would indulge it and maybe put it on a maintenance diet when it is older.

Yeah, probably anything to plug the holes, for now. When it gets bigger, that's another s
