How do you handle a hostile tiger loach?

We have a tiger loach with no mate. We started him in a 10 gallon tank but he was very unhappy there and rarely came out from his cave. We bought a new 72 gallon tank and started it with 11 fish from our other aquariums. We later moved the tiger to that tank and he blossomed. He loved in there and was out most of the time. In anticipation of putting newly aquired Botia Robustas (three) in the same tank, my wife Ginger built two more caves. When the deed was done, the previously shy Tiger claimed the entire tank as his territory and chased the three Botias unmercifully. We finally had to put him back into the 10 gallon tank. We would like to re-introduce him to the larger tank because he is so unhappy were he is. We are hopeful that once he is the new kid on the block again it will be fine. He didn't go after any of the original 11 fish.
