yoyos and clowns

Just "inherited" 2 more Yoyo loaches yesterday. I now have 5. When I introduced the 2 new ones they went absolutely spastic. They were so pale as to be almost white and acted just plain crazy. I fully expected then to die but they seem to be coming around. Is this normal? Stress? They are still pretty pale but seem to have settled down and are eating.
On a more postive note, my 4 remaining clowns rarely hide. They are out in the open most of the time and put away more food than a pack of oscars. I am really pleased with their progress. I am indebted to my sis for getting me involved with these nut cases. Never knew they could be so much fun.
