Sufficient Aeration @ 86F w/Ich?

Hi all,

Boy, when it rains it pours with fish problems! I've never had to deal with ich with my clowns before, and just need a tad of advice. I added Rid-Ich+ (formalin & malachite green) at 3 teaspoons for a 55 instead of five and a half, the temperature is slowly nearing 86 and I've draped a sheet over the entire tank to keep it dark. The clowns are just *covered* in ich spots, and hide in their cave all bunched together like the monkeys they are.

I have twin Penguin 330's w/o carbon running and definitely disturbing the surface and also an airstone; I turned off the sponge filter because it has carbon in it.

Now I don't think I can add salt because that appears to be what this malachite stuff is. So, is there anything else I can do, and does that sound like enough aeration for botias on that med in that temp? Should I drop the water level so the outpours make more of a disturbance?

Feel free to tell me to just sit on my hands!

TIA
