My wife and I have two blue botia. About a month and a half ago our two blue botia mated (well it looked like a mating dance they did on and off for several days). Now the female is very swollen as to appear being pregant. She's clearly carring either eggs or fry. I need to know if they are egg layers or livebears. Also on the web page where you describe and have pics. of blue botia's, it says they have never been mated in captivity. Does that mean they never mated in captivty at all? If so I'm confused as to what could be wrong (a tumor?)? I've moved her into a nursery so our chiclds dont bother her. Hope for some help thanks Jason
