what is wrong with his snout?

One of my zebra loaches has developed a white fuzzy patch at the tip of his snout, and his barbels also look a little ragged or fuzzy. This is one of my thinner loaches, but I'd figured he was one of the boys (as opposed to the very fat (?egg filled) ones I'd tentatively ID'd as females). He has no other spots, and the fuzz looks like a fungus, not at all like ich. None of the other loaches that I could see, or other other fish in the tank (a multitude of Endler's) have anything like this.

Anyone know what this likely is, or where to find a good link with pics to help identify it? I don't want to treat for the wrong thing and make the little guy sicker.
