Kuhli loaches and flourite?

I'm currently using 100% Seachem flourite in my setup, and in looking for a fish that would be entertaining/mostly at the bottom, I've stumbled upon the Kuhli loach. I know they like to burrow into the substrate, and I am curious on whether or not the flourite would be too sharp for them. The tank is planted with lots of hiding spaces throughout. Any help is greatly appreciated! If the Kuhlis won't work out, I'm going with a duo of Cory cats, but I personally love the way the Kuhlis look!

Oh, they would also be the black variety of the loaches, something like pangio java...something or another! :D
