Kinda sorta OT, but.......

We got back Friday from our camping and canoeing trip to the Algonquin Park, Ontario. Being a crazy fishkeeper, I'm always looking at bodies of water and trying to see into them to see any fish that might be visible. The Algonquin lakes are mostly pretty clear and we saw lots of tiny minnow type fish in the shallows, plus these lakes support Trout, Pickerell, Bass and Sunfish. Saw a few fish jumping at sun-down.

I wondered what the Ph of these lakes was, so tested some water when we got home. Using a Tetra Test Kit the sample registered at the 5.0 lower level of the kit's capabilities, so may be even lower than that.

I can imagine that anyone living in the area
