You should be fine, since you don't have an undergravel filter, which would've turned your gravel into a huge biofilter full of beneficial bacteria.

Of course, there was some bacteria on the gravel surface, which is now gone, but don't be alarmed if you see your water cloud a bit. As long as you didn't touch your powerfilter, your undisturbed bacteria should still be able to breakdown the debris you stirred up during the gravel change.

Within 24 hours, your filter itself will probably need cleaning, unless you changed the gravel BEFORE you did a water drain, which would've had you siphoning out much of the debris with the water. But, if you drained some water BEFORE the gravel change to make it easier to swap the gravel, th
