Do You Remove Dead Leaves?

Looking at the two dead leaves on my first live plant I am wondering what will become of them. Should I remove them? No, this wouldn't be practical with an aquarium full of plants.

Are they to just rot away and be siphoned out with my regular cleaning?

I am just now learning the importance of keeping my aquarium meticulously clean. Am I to let leaves rot in it?

I am writing this a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I would like to hear what if any trimming of dead leaves should be done. Or not.
