For SusanA: Gravel Change No Re-cycle

It's been 8 days and the readings have been negligible so I don't think the tank's going to re-cycle after all. I did my first weekly water change yesterday, and the pH-raising gravel change the week before.

The highest reading was Ammonia 0.1. Now it's less, and Nitrite is still 0.0 and Nitrates are negligible. I have trouble reading all these. Depending on how I hold the tube to the light/white background on the card it looks lighter or darker. So with pH I'm trying to look at where it is in the color spectrum as opposed to how dark it is.

Held against the card pH is very dark, but held back so the light passes through it it's all light
