Hiya folks

after lot's of head scratching and !@#$%^& I've figured out to upgrade to fluorescent cheaply. I bought a weatherproof autostart{exterior} ballast rated the same as the bulb I'm using from home depot.A sheet of 6x18 aluminum 2 bulb holders and one aquaglo bulb.
The problem is that when you use a industrial ballast they work terrible. They don't light until you tap it.It turns out {after hours of searching} that they have to have a grounded reflector 1/2 inch from the bulb because of some capacitance requirements. I had an old monitor cord so I used it. I bent the aluminum to make a reflector, attached the ballast to that and grounded it.The bulb holders
