OT: Thriving Native Plants

Gareth may find this interesting.

I recently grabbed some mystery plants from a local pond. Cleaned em and plucked em in the 10gal almost 2wks ago. Each plant has grown over an inch and so therefore I got intrigued enough to identify them!

I have identified 1 out of the 2, the second may be the same plant but in a younger stage or something, I dont know but here are the photos:

This is Micranthemum umbrosum : ( focus on the FOREGROUND PLANT, not the JAVA FERN! )

This is a mystery, different leaf shape and slightly lighter in color and the main stem is skinnier so it looks a bit different but the leaves are in the same form, 2 leaves per joint on the stem. I'm at a loss.

Any help on that second one?

So far these samples from the pond
