Question for Mr. Leadfoot and Gareth

OK, with all the talk about lighting I got to thinking. That didn't work, so can I ask you a couple of real specific questions?

I have a 55USG tank with a standard 48" flourescent tube in the hood. I currently have java fern, java moss, and some indeterminate and unidentified potted plant that came in with my java fern. These plants seem to be doing OK, although growing slowly, but the light seems very blue to me.

If I wanted to get some lighting in there in the spectrum Kelvin suggested as being the best (6700 K), how would I go about it? I'm not doing a planted tank right now so I don't need masses of light.

Can I buy a replacement bulb in that color range for the hood and will that be enough for now? If so, do you know of a manufacturer to recommend?

Thanks.
