I just got some really nice pieces of mopani wood, with lots of twists and turns and knots. So I completely re-did the tank today, since it was time for a good gravel vac anyway.
The loaches - dojos and striatas - are most upset about it. The dojos are streaking around the tank and doing that figure 8 thing they do when you first get them. The striata have not stopped clicking while they explore the new caves and tunnels made by the wood. If I come anywhere near the tank they all disappear.
I can't figure out if they're ticked or just getting used to it!! The dither fish (tetras and zebras) took it all in stride once I got my hands out of the tank, but the loaches seem to be having a nervous breakdown.
