Bubbles and Maintaining AquaClear Powerheads

I spoke to Hagen today regarding a problem with unwanted bubbles, and thought this was worthy of a post that might help others, although the dispostition of this post is really a continuation of a thread involving myself and SusanA:

The bubbles I got initially were because I used the venturi hose, and the little adjuster knob had to be just right. Sometimes a loose fit of the knob and its "seat" will prevent the adjuster from fully closing. I found the best way to get it to close is to dip the adjuster end in the water, then open it to let it start sucking water. Then, close the adjuster, and take the tube out of the water. You will see water in the tube, which makes it easy to see when you get the thing closed fo
