loach companions

Hi,

I currently have three clown loaches in my 180 litre tank. Despite the tank being very well planted, with lots of hiding places, I seldom ever see them. I was wondering if they might be braver if I got them another couple of playmates (plus I just want more 'cos I love them). Would this be a problem? I've had my existing loaches for about a year, and they have grown to be 5-7cm long. I would probably get quite small ones again - would they be overly picked on by the others?

Plus, can people recommend good companion fish for them? I used to have some danios, but would like to try something else.

Thanks very much,

Kate
