Siphon Hose Size

I previously posted about using the siphon I had inherited with my 10 gal. It has a pretty big hose, and a huge end piece with a plastic screen of sorts to keep the gravel from going up. I posted that it worked better without the end piece and you all posted... duh.

I just bought a new one for my QT and I got one with a smaller hose and smaller end piece. But even more significant, rather than a plastic screen the end piece has just one hole for the water to pass through. It's even small than the hose, maybe 1/8".

But what's really cool is that it draws the water so slowly that the gravel doesn't even pick up more than maybe 1/2", and this is the new smaller gravel/sand I got. It's really easy to use.
