Uh Oh! Ich!!

I was saddend and surprised to see my clown loaches infected with ich. I also have a yo-yo loach, tiger barbs, and gloden barbs in the same tank. I have been following the Salt Treatment that is under the Disease treatment section by raising the temperature slowly up to 86 degrees. I just have one question though, is 2.75 teaspoons/gallon of water correct? That seems like a lot of salt especially when my salt container says to only add one tablespoon for every five gallons. Also, does anyone know if my barbs will be able to handle the salt or should I move them and give them their own treatment with less. Any help would be appreciated greatly.
