Moving white spots on fish

Ok, I bought a weather loach, a big 'un that's about six inches (we measured him) and he was covered in what I thought was Ich. Typical salted look to him, but we've seen the spots move in the water, the "grains of salt" swim up and down at the surface of the water. What are they? They're bright white, I thought fish lice, but I thought they were dark. What can I do? I'm treating him with salt and a little bit of Aquarisol. Any help greatly appreciated. I change his water about twice a day, 100% changes to get the nasties that are swimming in the water.
