Color of Dominant Clown

A few weeks ago there was a discussion about the color of the dominant Clown versus the others, and it was generally agreed that the dominant Clown was faded in appearance. I've had a first-hand experience with this.

I had two so-so colored Clowns in separate tanks. Since I put them together, the smaller one has become as colorful as I've ever seen (including the black areas being very black) while the larger and presumably dominant Clown has become ghostly in appearance. I would certainly never have bought one looking like this!
