My Java Fern is growing new leafs very quickly now, but I noticed that they are a much lighter green than the older ones. Is this normal, or does it indicate a lack of some nutrient?
Also when I first got the plant I noticed that the end of one leaf -- maybe 1/2" of a 3" leaf -- looked wet. I don't know how else to describe it. Much darker, like a piece of green paper that had been dipped in water.
Over time, this darker area has changed in size. Now it is very small.
So far I have only one new leaf of a few inches in length, and it has the same symptom. Maybe a third of it to start, though now much less. Has anyone seen this before?
