Sinking Wafers

While my water is generally crystal clear, I finally figured out that when it occasionally gets clouded (not like it has milk in it but like it is full of tiny particles) it is from the Hikari Sinking Wafers. Even as I break them up and drop them in I can see them spread these small particles into the water.

Probably the water can stay "cloudy" because I just have a Penguin Mini for my 10 gal and it's not that efficient. But I'm wondering if anyone else has observed this or been concerned about it.

These tiny particles would appear too small for a fish to go after to eat and thus I would think would just add waste to the tank.
