I learned some new things today

Just finished water changes and filter maintenance. I learned some new things.

1. My kitchen floor is apparently appreciably lower than my living room.

2. If the end of your Python comes loose, you can silently and efficiently syphon out the entire contents of a 10 gallon bucket in the time it takes to run the algae magnet over the front of your tank.

3. If you are working with your Python and your dog starts lapping water where there is no water bowl, GO CHECK IT.

4. Cats apparently find this process quite interesting when viewed from the safety of the countertop.

There really are days when I should not be let loose.
