Clowns and Currents

I have recently upgraded the filteration from a sparce aquaclear 200 to 2 brand new aquaclear 200's on my 30 gallon tank. The water is crystal clear, and it's neat to see the plants and water lily move in the currents. However my 4 clowns have not come out much since then. Do they not like the currents or something, or do they just need more buddies, I figure since them and 2 corydoras is all I have a can squeze a few more clowns in there.
