Modesta with dropsy?

Greetings all. I've been having power outages off and on the last few days due to the ice storm. Today, when the power came back on again, I removed the blankets from my tanks and I was surprised to find one of my modestas had gotten huge. It looks like dropsy to me, but I've never heard of a loach getting dropsy before. Has anyone else here had this happen to a loach? I had an 8 inch comet get dropsy before and the poor thing died within a week.

If this is dropsy, I believe the treatment is Maracyn 2. Am I correct? Below are a couple of pictures that I snapped today (sorry they're kind of blurry). Any help you can give will be apprecitated.
