How often do you CLEAN you tank?

For the first time in all these months -- after learning how to stop killing fish, and then how to stop killing plants -- I have a beautiful planted tank. Call it a Gareth Jr.

For the first time in all these months -- it's time for my weekly water change and the tank looks perfect! Clear water; no Staghorn Algae to trim; no algae scum on the glass.

I will still do my water change/vacuum, but I'm just curious if I should still clean the glass and heater and filter intake and...

I guess the question is, "Can I just wait till things look like they need cleaning or is it better to keep up with them weekly?"
