Golden Dojo with dropsy?... or something

Hello...I have been a "lurker" on this board about a year or so and now would like really like some advice. I have a 6 inch gold dojo which has been gradually turning a very pale yellow color. I assumed this was just normal fading as the loach matured (have had the loach for approx. 3 years). Now,the body has swollen to a circumference of about 2 1/2 inches and the skin looks wrinkled. However,it is is still eating normally and does not appear to be in distress. Today I noticed a small red streak in the tail fin. Has anyone ever had this happen to their weather loaches before and if so what would be a safe form at an attempt to treat? I have four
