Patience paid off...

My big clown loaches finally came out of hiding today. I have 2 which I got several months ago when somone dropped them off where I work saying they no longer wanted them. They are each about 5-6 inches long. My other clowns I've had for about 4 months and most have grown an average of 2-3 inches in that time. The young ones never hid. The old ones were basically to me tails sticking out of ornaments. I knew they were eating as I moved their hiding places every once in a while to check on them.

Well last night I saw one, and it didn't bash into the tank walls on seeing me. This morning when I fed one saw me and hid. I sat in front of the tank for quite a while after it came back out. It was quite daring, taking food from all the other fish, especially the other clowns. It was so great to see them not completely grayed out and twitching in their hiding places.
