Pakistani Loaches

I have 2 Pakistani loaches about 3 inches long in with other loaches (2-clown (about 5 inches), 1-weather (about 4 inches), 2-blue botia (about 4 inches)). Every now-and-then these two will do a sort of "dance" around the tank. Twirling around each other as they quickly move around. I assume this is a mating ritual of some kind. The thing I notice is that they almost completely loose their markings and turn a sliver-gray color until the "urge" passes. Has anyone else seen this. I have yet to see any eggs, etc. but the other loaches may be having snacks....
