Wienie loach

We've generally preferred to grow our own clown loaches. In keeping with that tradition, I brought home a tiny little clown recently. I hadn't thought about how large all my other clowns are now! Even the runt is huge in comparison and the new guy is about half the size of the alpha loach's tail fin. With some concern, I added the new loach to the tank, and it doesn't seem to be concerned at all. Blood worms bring it all the way to the top to hog out. The smaller, narrower khuli caves gives it a place to duck and hide when life gets scary. I just imagine it will be a while before this little guy feels like it can swim with the pack. So far, it's active and eating and will probably learn all the devilish tricks from its tank mates soon enough.
