battling columnaris

I thought I'd beat a mild case of columnaris with melafix, but a few rainbows in my rainbow/loach tank are exhibiting slightly "fuzzy" mouths again today. I've just recently planted the tank and am still learning about what meds work with plants. Any suggestions on beating this? The water quality is good and the loaches all seem happy and healthy, I just don't want this to get out of hand. Any med advice would be greatly appreciated.
