Emergency boring tank:( *PIC*

This 55 has had all the plastic it can take. It would really be nice to have some plant life. The problem is a ph of 7.5, water temp of 80f, lighting that needs to be looked at (15 watt, 18 inch x 2), 25ppm no3 from tap, Abnormal iron levels, plant eating inhabitants (barbs, tetras, and clowns). Anyone have any suggestions?

Bare in mind that a potatoe is lucky to grow sprouts in a bowl of water in this house.
