Feeding worms

I'd appreciate it if folks could chime in with their techniques for feeding frozen foods (ie bloodworms, brine shrimp, etc) without polluting the water.

I recall someone writing a while back about using his net to feed them. That works okay for the bloodworms, but I lose too many brine shrimp down the drain since they fit through the netting.

I've read mention of "bloodworm feeders" here and wondered if that's just for live worms or for frozen too. If so, is it the same contraption featured on the Blackworm link on the LOL homepage?

Also, do you think it is safe (disease-wise) to buy live blackworms from a LFS that has plastic bags of them sitting on the counter? What about mosquito larva from my neighbor's untreated pond?
